(November 3, 2008) BREAKING NEWS Pate, Zantow Named New Assistant Deans HATTIESBURG -- After a series of interviews with internal candidates, new CoB dean Lance Nail recently announced that associate professor of accounting Gwen Pate and associate professor of management Kenneth Zantow will assume the new duties of assistant dean in the CoB. Pate essentially continues her current administrative duties in Hattiesburg, which include oversight of undergraduate academic services. Zantow now represents the CoB-GC and will administer graduate academic services for the CoB.

(November 30, 2008) Jackson Hole How Ill-Advised Administration Staffing is Stifling the CoB The CoB knows full well what differences there are between CoB-H and CoB-GC standards. One only has to ask former CBA dean Tyrone Black, or any CBA-H faculty from the Black era, what life was like when the Hattiesburg branch of the CBA integrated the GC business school operation for accreditation purposes. In more recent times CoB-H faculty have seen how CoB-GC faculty like Kenneth Zantow get the benefit of a "4th Year [T&P] Review" when the traditional 3rd Year Review process results in bad news. CoB-H faculty also learned in recent years how CoB-GCers like (former management assistant professor) Francis Daniel can be treated as a "special cases," such as when Daniel was allowed to hang around the CoB-GC for about a decade without having to ever submit a T&P dossier.

Zantow Joins CoB Administration -- One of the CoB's weaker faculty members was surprisingly chosen by new CoB dean Lance Nail to fill the new spot of graduate programs director/assistant dean for CoB-GC. This person is Kenneth Zantow, also of "4th Year Review" infamy. Sources consider this move to be one in the minus column of the new Nail administration.
(January 5, 2009) CoB News, 5 January 2009 Zantow Set to Join Nail Administration Though sources say he has been acting as if he were a mid-level CoB manager since about the middle of fall 2008 semester, associate professor of management Kenneth Zantow did not officially become the Assistant Dean of the CoB (in charge of graduate programs) until this month.
