association with the Journal of Business Research has been the subject of a number of reports at usmnews.net. With
the arrival of the spring 2007 versions of the CoB’s Sedona vitae, it appears as though that “association” continues to
pay off for faculty in the CoB’s Management & Marketing Department.

Jennifer Sequeira is poised for a big year during 2008-09. If sources are accurate, then Sequeira is the leading
candidate for the CoB's Louis K. Brandt Research Award. Although the producers of USMNEWS.NET's recent series
on the 2009 LKBRA place finance professor Tom Lindley at the top of the CoB, Sequeira does appear in second place
(so far) on the strength of her publications in the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Developmental
Entrepreneurship.

management, Jennifer Sequeira, was featured in the USM promotion video that President Martha Saunders played for
members of Mississippi’s IHL Board at the monthly meeting on 16-Oct-08.
(December 4, 2008) CoB News, 4 December 2008 Sequeira Now Handling Carr’s Contest According to Jan May’s
3-Dec-08 USM press release entitled “Graduate Students Pitch Ideas in Annual Business Plan Competition,”
untenured assistant professor of management Jennifer Sequeira has now taken over the annual Golden Eagle
Challenge Business Plan Competition that was developed years ago by associate professor of management Jon Carr.
As previously reported by USMNEWS.net, Carr is leaving the CoB at the end of this month to take a similar post at
Texas Christian University, a Tier II national university.
