(January 22, 2009) Mock Interview with Farhang Niroomand, Part 2 by Hal Greene HG: An investigation uncovered the fact that you recently spent $75,000 on university travel over only a 59-month period. What do you have to say about that?
(January 25, 2009) 31st & Pearl Victoria Recon Given the close relationship between University of Houston at Victoria president Tim Hudson and incoming UH at Victoria business school dean Farhang Niroomand during their many years together at USM, there's little doubt that the recent hiring of Niroomand at UH at Victoria was anything but clean. Hudson is no stranger to running "polluted" searches. According to sources, the 2003 search for a new College of Business & Economic Development dean was muddied up real good by Hudson, then provost at USM. And, Niroomand has had his administrative hand in one bad search or another during his days an associate dean in business at USM and those that came later.

In September of 2006 you left a Temporary Restraining Order hearing just as it was getting started. Why? FN: I told you, my health is very bad. I had [a] doctor appointment that morning.
(January 30, 2009) CoB News, 30 January 2009 “Third Tier Thieves,” by 31st & Pearl Columnist Yesterday’s issue of CoB News showed, through Thomas Bartlett’s 28-Jan-09 article in The Chronicle of Higher Education entitled “2 Universities’ Plagiarism Policies Look a lot Alike,” just how badly the CoB’s administrators and their sycophants behaved under former CoB dean Harold Doty. This group, including Doty, George Carter, Farhang Niroomand, Laurie Babin and Charles Jordan actively participated in and/or countenanced the copying, without proper citation, of two other universities’ administrative documents – the Syracuse University b-school’s academic integrity policy and the Central Missouri State University b-school’s AACSB definitions.
