(January 25, 2007) Niroomand’s Nemesis The CoB’s Center for Financial Services One of the most interesting aspects of the CoB’s organizational structure since the turn of the 21st Century is the evolving relationship between CoB Associate Dean Farhang Niroomand and the CoB’s Center for Financial Services (CFS). One would think that this particular relationship would be harmonious and productive, given that Niroomand is an economist. After breaking the story in November of 2006, USMNEWS.NET has obtained a batch of official documents that show what appears to be an attempted cover-up, one that fails to heed the ageless political advice that the cover-up is often worse than the incident in question. However, in this case both the alleged incident and the apparent cover-up are particularly egregious. This report recounts, using official documents, the details of both.
(March 29, 2007) “Whose Line is it Anyway?”usmnews.net Responds to the Cries for “Good News” Some readers of usmnews.net, concerned about USM’s College of Business, have contacted us and asked about the dissemination of “good news” about the CoB. We must admit that we oftentimes wonder why there seems to be so little “good news” about the CoB.
