(August 7, 2006) “Table for 14, please . . .” THE 2004 TRIP TO THE MISSISSIPPI BUSINESS HALL OF FAME On May 25, 2004, CoB Associate Dean Farhang Niroomand wrote the following letter to Mr. Joe Morgan, requesting assistance in the funding for a visit to Jackson made by Niroomand and Dean Harold Doty to attend the Laureate Induction Banquet at the Mississippi Business Hall of Fame. That event occurred on May 10, 2004.
(August 9, 2006) Special Report Payment for Post-Employment Services Rendered A Look at William Goffe's 2002 Request for $6,000 "This "Special Report" examines an interesting Purchase Order involving a former CoB faculty member, William Goffe. Goffe, an Associate Professor of Economics, left the CoB following the 1999-2000 academic year (USM records). However, as the reproduction of USM Purchase Order 0001010826 below indicates, Goffe requested that Joe Morgan (Req ID A20641) provide payment to him of $6,000.00 in August of 2002, a little over two years after his (Goffe's) departure from the CoB...".
(August 11, 2006) A Closer Look at the Undergraduate Academic Services Office in the CoB "Former CoB Dean William Gunther established the Undergraduate Academic Services Office early on in his tenure as dean. The project consumed multiple faculty salary lines and displaced the undergraduate student lounge in Joseph Greene Hall. The Office has undergone some change over the years, though the size of the office has remained relatively stable at five members, plus any work study or graduate assistants. The annotated table below summarizes salary changes by position in the UAS Office, along with raises given to position lines and salary savings from reducing salary lines...".
