Faculty Travel "This Special Report examines two trips to the NASBITE International (North American Small
Business International Trade Educators) conference made by CoB Associate Dean Farhang Niroomand. These

2002, as the top portion of the Employee Travel Voucher filed by Niroomand (see below) indicates...".
(October 23, 2006) Barry Babin Hits the Vacation Trail – 2000-05 A previous report at usmpride.com outlines Barry
and Laurie Babin’s trips to Europe during the Sedona vita period of 2000-2005. However, there is another travel
game being played by Barry Babin: a tour of resort areas. While most conferences are held in major cities, some of
the more obscure conferences are held in resort areas and become known as “vacation conferences” for the lucky
few who have funds to travel to such places. What follows is the list of Barry Babin’s travels foreign countries and
to “resort” destinations from 2000 to 2005, all listed on Babin’s Sedona vita as of May 2, 2006.
(October 28, 2006) We Deserved More "Those of us outside of economics have always been told how productive
everyone in economics is and that they were the most productive group in the college. Thanks to information
revealed on this website we now know that one professor among that group is not academically qualified, another
has not published a journal article since 1998, yet another looks to be getting his name placed onto someone else’s
papers, and two others are spending a lot of money on publication fees for journals of low quality. I could go on...".

began the process of “opening up” USM’s College of Business. Now it appears that Phase 2 is beginning in
earnest. By Phase 2 we mean that e-mails – some anonymous and some not – containing tips and leads to new
stories of malfeasance in the CoB are arriving almost daily. Reporters at USMPRIDE.COM were also told, a few
weeks ago, by “old hands” of the CoB to expect this phase to begin at some point in the future. This phase
actually began in the middle to late part of January of 2007, and has sped up since reports began surfacing about
the CoB’s AACSB probation woes.
