EVELYN GREEN, INSTRUCTOR, TOURISM MANAGEMENT
(August 28, 2006) 10 Things We Learned from the August 2006 CoB Faculty Meeting "Donna Davis is really struggling to perform her "duties" as the CoB's SEDONA Coordinator. According to some, she has been assigned a Graduate Assistant, yet she still can't seem to provide faculty with an electronic record of research data from SEDONA, as called for in the new AACSB report that was distributed on 8/24...".

(January 26, 2007) Special Report "Where the Boys go to School the Girls will Follow" An Investigative Series on the use of the CoB for Personal Gain Evidence of George Carter's use of USM facilities to operate a private consulting firm has appeared on this website over the past several weeks. Multiple issues in this Special Report series have covered the ethics issues involved with Carter's operation of his Mississippi Consulting Group, Inc. from his Joseph Greene Hall office. Now, evidence has been forwarded to usmpride.com reporters regarding another business being operated by a CoB faculty member -- and one that also reports USM-based contact information of its proprietor, tourism management instructor Evelyn Kwan Green.
(February 7, 2007) Special Report Green Discontinues use of "usm.edu" Contact Info for Private Business An Investigative Series on the Use of the CoB for Personal Gain A recent Special Report installment ("Where the Boys Go to School . . .") uncovered tourism management instructor Evelyn Green's use of a USM-provided e-mail address in her private interior redesign firm, Evelyn Kwan Green Interior Redesign. (April 4, 2007) 31st & Pearl Under Niroomand's Green Thumb An interesting theory about Evelyn Kwan Green's employment in the CoB landed in our offices shortly after the Special Report on Green's private business was uploaded. It concerns "why" Green was brought into the CoB, and it is really very interesting.
(May 24, 2007) CoB News, May 2007 Though the spring 2007 semester has officially come to an end, there are still a number of news stories involving various CoB officials to report on. This issue (May 2007) of "CoB News" is set to do just that. Enjoy.
(June 14, 2007) Davis, Green Get New iPods for Instruction The CoB’s Donna Davis (Professor of MIS) and Evelyn Kwan Green (Instructor of Tourism Management) were recently named among the 12 winners of USM’s “Podcasting Pilot project,” which was kicked off in USM’s Learning Enhancement Center on 8-Jun-07. According to USM Public Relations officials, the 12 faculty members were selected “based on proposals that demonstrated a commitment to improving student learning through the use of innovative technologies.” The 12 winners, along with LEC officials, are shown below:
(June 25, 2007) iCoB by Duane Cobb The recent report on the selection of Donna Davis and Evelyn Green to participate in USM’s new Podcast Pilot Project fits real well with usmnews.net editor’s recent open letter to former CoB Dean Harold Doty. The letter deals with aspects of the CoB’s Wall Street Journal Academic Partnership Program (WSJAPP), a program that assesses a tuition fee to provide daily copies of the WSJ to CoB students, while CoB professors receive copies for free. Like the WSJAPP, students in Davis’ and Green’s classes may now feel it necessary to acquire iPods in order to keep up in class, given Davis’ and Green’s participation in the pilot project described in that report. Of course, Davis and Green get iPods for free.
