DR. DAVID DUHON, PROFESSOR OF MANAGEMENT,
CHAIR, MANAGEMENT AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
(August 30, 2006) Accreditation and Research: Two Sides of the Same Coin? One piece of information that should
be taken from the College of Business faculty meeting held on August 25th (2006) is that the CoB admittedly only
takes accreditation issues seriously sometimes, not all the time. Harold Doty's statements to the point that CoB
assessment is incomplete were supported by David Duhon's statements that the SACS WEAVE database would be
the source for much of the assessment data needed for the AACSB report.

JUNIOR PROFESSORS KNOW YOUR RIGHTS! The Following Package of
Journal Publications Will Get You Promoted to Professor
(August 14, 2006) SEDONA Files In this issue we visit the SEDONA records of
David Duhon (Associate Professor of Management). Under the heading Faculty
Development, the following entry appears among a list of development-related
matters in David Duhon's SEDONA records:
(December 14, 2007) 31st & Pearl “Makin’ Their Way, the Only Way They Know How” Thanks to EFIB chairman
George Carter, we have now identified some of the CoB’s “good ole boys.” Those boys have been busy this year.
As we look back on the year of the “Letter of Agreement,” we must admit that our first guess about what the group
wants for management professor David Duhon was a little off.
(December 15, 2006) CoB 90210 A recent installment of the 31st & Pearl series (headline shown below) made
reference to an interesting theory about the Bushardt/Duhon CoB Faculty Handbook proposal that was passed on
8-Dec-06.
(January 4, 2007) On Transgressions What makes a “transgression”? Committing an error, having a lapse in
judgment, overstepping authority or proprieties, or other wrongdoing – that is what a transgression is. Chairman
Carter said he committed a transgression against Dean Doty and asked him to forgive him for it. Confession and
repentance is a proper approach. What about the other – and similar – transgressions against others in the CoB?
(April 16, 2007) The CoB Dopplegänger Matrix How Proximity and Influence are Intertwined in USM’s College of
BusinessWith the “resignations” of CoB Dean D. Harold Doty and his Associate Dean Farhang Niroomand, CoB
sycophants and “dopplegängers” (Bedeian, 2002) were scrambling around Joseph Greene Hall like Christmas
shoppers at 8:00am on Black Friday. From professor of management David Duhon to visiting assistant professor of
international business John Lambert, the “yes men” were in self-preservation overdrive, feverishly working the
water cooler conversations trying to ascertain where their future fortunes rested.
