D. HAROLD DOTY, FORMER DEAN, COLLEGE OF
BUSINESS, CURRENT DEAN, UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT
TYLER
(October 13, 2006) CoB Administrators in Their Own Words "...The quotes above, from the writings of D. Harold
Doty, are quite interesting. As pointed out at usmpride.com, Doty believes himself to be like the Founding Fathers,
all wrapped up in a single package. He interprets the Faculty Handbook, and out comes the 'Minimal Sufficiency
Doctrine.' He makes a cursory examination of the 19 September 2006 events in the EFIB, and decides to stand
firm behind the will of the people. He is the executive, legislative and judicial branches of CoB governance, all
packaged into one person. Who knows, if Doty had been around in the late 18th/early 19th Centuries, maybe our
republic wouldn’t have needed all of the guys you see surrounding Doty below. ..".
(October 14, 2006) Harold Doty at “The Rock?” "This Special Report examines some interesting expenditures
made by CoB Dean Harold Doty in the fall of 2004. The screen below shows one of Doty’s AmEx Corporate
Account Statements from the fall of 2004. ... One of the remaining charges, $120.00, appears to be a September
2004 purchase of of Southern Miss tickets. Does this represent the purchase of football tickets? A football season
ticket package? Are these symphony tickets? As the insert below, taken from “Doty on the Move,” indicates, Doty
was reimbursed about $300 for expenses relating to his trip to New Orleans for the New Orleans Bowl...".
(October 12, 2006) Deconstructing Dean Doty "The following is the fifth and last installment reviewing Dean
Doty’s memorandum in response to our grievance...Unadulterated Doty fails to exhibit the confidence of a leader
in control of himself or his environment. Instead, he sounds petulant and scared. A pretender."
(October 16, 2006) SEDONA Files "This issue of SEDONA Files takes a look at the CoB’s management faculty
SEDONA records. As usmpride.com readers are aware, CoB Dean Harold Doty entered the field of management
via an undergraduate degree in psychology from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. This is
a route into management that Doty reportedly advocates. In this issue of SEDONA Files, we examine the
undergraduate education backgrounds of the CoB’s management faculty in order to determine how prevalent this
avenue into management is (at least among CoB faculty)...".
