(May 5, 2009) Brandt in Two In and Around USM’s College of Business The loss of Susan Doty (ECO) from the EFIB marks the 60th CoB faculty to leave the CoB since the beginning of the Harold Doty administration in 2003. Susan Doty will join the economics department at the University of Texas at Tyler in August-09. Susan's husband Harold, the former CoB dean (2003-07), will become dean of business and technology at UT-T in just a matter of days from now.

(May 7, 2009) 31st & Pearl A Collective Sigh Former CoB dean Harold Doty's stint in USM's College of Business has come to an end. That stint has been nothing short of tumultuous from the jump, beginning with the infamous individual faculty interviews in 2003, and ending with the failed attempt at AACSB re-accreditation in 2007. Now, Doty is the University of Texas – Tyler's problem, and as he prepares to leave Hattiesburg for the east Texas locale you can almost hear a collective sigh throughout Joseph Greene Hall.
