Harold Doty, to secure employment as Dean of one business college or another. Those efforts have resulted in one failure after another, including rejections from institutions across a wide spectrum (e.g., from Clemson to Boise State). (April 9, 2008) GH Chatter The recent revelation from former CoB Dean, Harold Doty, that he (Doty) would’ve been a good fit for Clemson, is causing commotion around Greene Hall. What is amusing to some is that, with his resignation and return to his first love of teaching, Doty now earns $127,086 – a total that includes a $5,162 “merit” raise from May of 2007 and about $20,000 to $25,000 of his administrative supplement for serving as Dean for four years – while the eventual winner of the Clemson job, Claude Lilly, now earns $355,000 per year as Dean of CU’s business school.
