What is the EFIB Faculty Routing Sheet? If you’re not on the EFIB faculty, we need to explain that right now. It’s the alphabetically organized list of EFIB faculty that serves as a cover page for documents that EFIB chair George Carter thinks EFIB faculty should review, including items such as grant writing opportunities and the Spring QEP initiative.

Investigators at USMPRIDE.COM have obtained an important piece of information regarding CoB Associate Dean Farhang Niroomand that relates to the formal Grievance filed by economics professor Franklin Mixon. Mixon’s Grievance, which is available on this website, lists a number of examples of the harassment and retaliation that he has encountered at the hands of CoB administrators since speaking out about some questionable administrative practices in the CoB.

DEVELOPING STORY November 14, 2006 HATTIESBURG --- Investigators at usmpride.com News are piecing together some of the details surrounding the departure of former assistant professor of finance Larry Eisenberg. Sources tell usmpride.com News that George Carter recommended that a terminal contract be given to Eisenberg for the 2006-07 academic year. Before the year began, Eisenberg departed the CoB, reportedly sending Carter a brief note with few details (other than he would not return).
(November 16, 2006) What Happens when Administrators Sour? On Tuesday, 7 November 2006, the EFIB met to discuss putting FIN 380 online for spring 2007 semester only. At the close of that meeting, wherein some other curriculum issues were discussed, EFIB Chairman George Carter e-mailed the following “meeting minutes” (which he kept) to the department’s faculty:
(November 16, 2006) 31st & Pearl System Failure Now we have it. A CoB administrator, in his own words, condemns the CoB’s annual evaluation system. You see stuff that’s not appropriate . . . there’s a certain injustice to it . . . it leaves little differentiation, if any. We now know what we always knew – the system is a failure. This spring, when Doty stands before the faculty and talks about how much integrity there is in the system, Professor Lindley won’t have to say a word. Everyone will look at each other, and know.
