(June 6, 2007) CoB News, 6 June 2007 There are a number of interesting news items to report from the CoB to start off the summer of 2007. A few of these are detailed below.
(June 14, 2007) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . JBRs for the Road Management & Marketing Chairman Barry Babin’s editorial association with the Journal of Business Research has been the subject of a number of reports at usmnews.net. With the arrival of the spring 2007 versions of the CoB’s Sedona vitae, it appears as though that “association” continues to pay off for faculty in the CoB’s Management & Marketing Department.
(June 15, 2007) Sin or Sinner? A Case Study in Marketing Sources tell USMNEWS.NET that Laurie Babin (professor of marketing) has apparently “abandoned” (at midterm, approx.) her Summer Session 1 section of MKT 355. Her husband Barry, the Chair of Management & Marketing at USM, is reportedly now teaching this course in her stead.

(February 21, 2008) Down and Out USMNEWS.NET’s Duane Cobb Rates the 5 Least Impressive Departures Since ‘03 With the 19-Feb-2008 departure announcements from MGT/MKT and TM Chairman, Tony Henthorne, and assistant professor of marketing, Talai Osmonbekov, the number of CoB faculty departures since 2003 gets ever so closer to 50. As such, now seems like as good a time as any to take stock in how badly some of those departed did in their initial moves from the CoB. Here, I present my Top 5 for least impressive initial jumps. You may have your own, which you are free to compare with mine.
(June 20, 2008) CoB Human Resources Update July, 2008 The word about former CoB MGT & MKT chair, Barry Babin, continues to amaze. As reported earlier by USMNEWS.net, Babin was recently named President of the Academy of Marketing Science. Coupled with that news was the revelation that the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science was moving to Babin's new academic home, Louisiana Tech University.
