professor Sami Dakhlia, who is one of the four mostly junior economists who was saved by the forced retirements of

professor Sami Dakhlia, who will be joining a French university for 2010-11. Dakhlia told Kemp that, in his view, there
is “insufficient willingness within the USM administration to create a thriving or even feasible economics program.”
Dakhlia was even so bold as to predict that the program would likely fail.

cool $450,000. Dakhlia didn’t make the four year mark with USM, and he is leaving at $84,000 per year.
